I qualified as a carpenter through Bridgwater & Taunton College, earning my NVQ Level 3, and have spent the 19 years since working across the full breadth of the trade. From bespoke joinery and workshop craftsmanship right through to building sites and domestic renovation projects.

For the past nine years I've been self-employed, subcontracting across the South West and building the kind of hands-on experience that only comes from working on a huge variety of jobs. If there's one area I'm particularly at home in, it's roofing , there's something about the problem-solving that comes with it that I genuinely enjoy. No two jobs are ever quite the same, and working out the best solution is all part of it.

Teaming up with Sam to form FR Builds was a natural step. Between us we cover a broad range of skills from fine joinery and bespoke furniture through to structural work, roofing, and full project management. That breadth means clients don't need to juggle multiple contractors; they get one team with the experience to handle the whole job, and the standards to see it through properly.
